General Session Keynote: Peter Shankman, "Ain't No Loyalist Like a Zombie Loyalist"

Ain't No Loyalist Like A Zombie Loyalist

Imagine a world where relationships are forged, sales are made, and new and repeat business is driven, all by the customers you currently have.

Imagine a world where the one true differential of your business isn't price or location, but rather, customer service.

It's already here, and if you're not focusing on it, you're going to be eliminated. Welcome to the world of the Zombie Loyalist, customers who, when treated well, will do your PR and Marketing for you to their network, automatically, every time.

Forget Yelp. Forget Trip Advisor. The new review will be every single customer, online, every single time, without a second thought. As networks become ubiquitous, and every customer's actions are public for the world to see, whether new customers choose you or your competitor will be entirely based on how you've already treated others in their network.

The opportunities for new customers and revenue growth are huge - but so are the pitfalls.

In this fast-paced, funny, and actionable talk, best selling author Peter Shankman talks about how you can create Zombie Loyalists for your own business - And breed each customer to bring all of their friends to you as well, every single time.

ADVANCED: Your Message, Your Mission, Your Movement. Discover How to Build a Profitable, Purpose Driven Business
Limited Capacity full

SIGN UP FOR A SESSION BY CLICKING HERE!

You must use the above link to register!  You will be taken to a new window where you will pick your time slot and input your name and email.  But clicking the "add to my sched" button, this does not guarantee you a slot, you must register separately!

This is an ADVANCED SESSION intended for bloggers who:

  1. Have been blogging for at least one year
  2. Blog consistently, either daily or at least 3 times a week
  3. Are intent on working hard to turn their blog into a profitable business this year!

We live in an age of movements:  Political movements, technology movements and social movements. Many seem to take on a life of their own. But do they? Or is there a “secret” to the success of an inspiring movement?

Maybe you’ve said to yourself and others, “If only I could live my purpose and make money at the same time.”

You can! And you can create a movement in the process.

  • Bruce Cleland, founder of Team in Training, simply wanted to raise funds in honor of his daughter, a leukemia survivor. What started as a purpose driven mission became an unstoppable movement. A movement that has impacted millions and made millions.
  • Tia Torres of Pit-bulls and Parolees fame, started her movement by rescuing one dog. One turned into two, two turned into four, four turned into thousands. Tia is on a mission and her movement has impacted millions and saved thousands of dogs lives.
  • David Wolfe, health and natural beauty expert, had an interest in natural healing. What began as a passion turned into a mission that is not an inescapable movement. As a rock star of super-foods and the longevity world, David has impacted millions while making untold amounts of money in his business.
  • Louise Hay began her movement by teaching a handful of people how to heal their life. Dubbed “the closest thing to a living saint” by the Australian media, Louise Hay is also known as one of the founders of the self-help movement. Through Louise’s healing techniques and positive philosophy, millions have learned how to create more of what they want in their lives while she has amassed millions of dollars in revenues in her business and non profit.

What do these four people have in common? They had a message they craved to share with anyone who would listen. Their message became their mission. Their mission became a movement.

All were “average” men and women who had a calling. Rather than doing what most people do and find every excuse not to fulfill their purpose, they found every reason why they must.

With the right momentum you can impact countless lives with what’s important to you and make a great living in the process. When you know how to tap into what drives you amazing events transpire.

If you’re ready to “Be the change that you wish to see in the world” join Kathleen Gage for a purpose driven experience.

In this interactive, high energy session you will:

  • Discover how to develop a vision, set the intention and take inspired action on a daily basis
  • Develop your voice to implement the changes you crave to see—in yourself and in the world
  • Learn how to use social media to spread your message.
  • Find out one action you can take each and every day to stay true to your purpose.
  • Learn how to monetize your movement in order to keep it going and live a quality of life you is for you.

If you’re tired of "playing small" in your life and career and are fully ready to “play bigger” this session is for you.  If you’re done “hiding out” and ready to be a voice for change, this session is for you.

Cattitude Check: How Your Content Can Save Shelter Cats

Cattitude Check: How Your Content Can Save Shelter Cats

We have a “cat”astrophe on our hands! PetSmart Charities’ research reveals negative stereotypes are hurting cats. What’s worse, they’re more likely to be euthanized in shelters than dogs, and 1/3 of people claim they wouldn’t even consider adopting a cat. What gives?

As bloggers,  you’re an important part of the solution. Join us as we explore how your content can help our feline friends. Get tips from PetSmart Charities’ top photographers on capturing cat images, because let’s face it: it’s hard! You’ll also learn how user-generated content can increase engagement among your audience while generating a positive buzz for cats and cat parents on the Internet.

Finally, you’ll get a sneak peek at PetSmart Charities’ upcoming campaign encouraging cat lovers to declare their cat pride. You will be among the first to join us in a social movement to get more people to love cats.

Key Legal Developments Affecting Sweepstakes, Contests, Social Media

This session will address a broad array of legal regulations and guidelines we face today on subjects such as: social media, digital media, sweepstakes, contests and games, privacy and intellectual property. It makes your head start to spin just by mentioning all those subjects in one sentence!

We’ll review what an illegal lottery is and what elements would make it illegal. The degree of effort that is being required to enter sweepstakes and contests is currently a big trend in social media. Participants can earn extra entries by performing different tasks and challenges. So how much is too much time and effort can you really require? Some tasks may not fall within the illegal lottery category; however they may raise Can/Spam or endorsement issues with the FTC.

Social Media platforms including Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter each also have their own set of guidelines. If you don’t follow them you not only run the risk of having your social media site shut down, but those of your participants as well. Some other items we’ll discuss will be what to look out for when running a user-generated contest, the re-use of third party social media content and celebrity tweets/posts and trademark infringements.

Nose-to-Nose Awards & Dinner! Sponsored by Mars Petcare
Join us for our 4th Awards event honoring the best and brightest in the pet blogging and social media world. BlogPaws created the Nose to Nose Awards in Pet Blogging and Social Media in 2010 to showcase the creativity and excellence of pet bloggers in 12 Distinct Categories.

The BlogPaws Nose to Nose Awards are distinctive in that the entries are judged by experts in each category. Bloggers do not have to go out on social and beg for likes or votes. Each category and each qualified nominee receives a score from judges in their category. Scores are tabulated by an outside resource, and finalists are announced.

Winners will be awarded at the Red Carpet event, after which, we will have our After Pawty with food, laughter, drinks and shouts of congratulations to all.
