In 2009, BlogPaws co-founder Caroline Golon launched her first pet-focused site, cat humor blog, Romeo the Cat, with a purpose: to use the proceeds from the blog to raise money and awareness for animal rescues and shelters. Since then, Golon has raised more than $85,000 through sponsorship programs and individual donations for nearly 40 shelters and rescues.
